Flower heads 20 – 25mm across. Outer involucral bracts are large and leaflike (3-5 present)
Achene beaks are as long as the achenes themselves.
Well branched

This is a very bristly plant.
Very hairy, the tips of which are T shaped.

Also has more scattered bristles which protrude from swollen white blister like bases.

Stem leaves are sessile. Lanceolate. Clasping cordate bases.
